Queen's Progress By Celeste Davidson Mannis

Every summer Queen Elizabeth took a holiday known as the royal progress. The queen, her courtiers and hundreds of attendants left the capital of London behind in a caravan that stretched as far as the eye could see. As they passed through the gates of the city, only the Queen knew with certainty where their rambles would lead. She was the sole navigator of the royal progress, and her whims were her compass.
